October 16th: Who’s Coming to Dinner?

The World is, of course! Well, maybe not the whole world, but you if utilize this great resource from Oxfam you can entertain your friends and family while discussing global concerns.

Sunday October 16th is World Food Day. It is a great time to reflect on our global food systems, its opportunities, blessings, and flaws. But what if we invited some friends over, cooked an inexpensive meal or even had it potluck style, and used this resource guide full of banners, posters, dvds, placemats, facts sheets and more! Oh yes, and the resources are free.

There are even ways to bring Faith into this discussion. Consider:

Maybe we can’t change everything negative about our food system. But maybe by coming together, with good friends and good food, we could find ourselves in a good discussion about what we can do together.
